How to Download, Install, & Configure TeamSpeak2
A guide by Neno
Table of Contents
Step 1: Download the Program
Go to http://www.goteamspeak.com
Once there, look on the left-hand side for the "Downloads" link.
On the Downloads page, under the Windows section, find "TeamSpeak2 Client (RC2)"
Look directly to the right and choose a download site (I used Site 1 for this guide).
Clicking on either site link will take you to your standard blab blab
bla License agreement.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on "I agree."
At this point, you should get a download window.
Depending on what browser you are using you could have one of the two shown below:

Microsoft Internet Explorer

Netscape
In either case, click the appropriate button to save your download to your computer.
Internet Explorer users will get a "Save As" window.
Click the "Desktop" Button on the left (Red Arrow), then make a mental
note of the filename (Green arrow), and click the "Save" button
(Blue Arrow).

Microsoft Internet Explorer
If you're a Netscape user, like me, you should see a window like the one
below. (Sometimes this window is shut off... CTRL+J should open it,
if needed)
Click "Open"

Netscape
If you're an Internet Explorer, user you will need to look on your
Desktop for the file you just downloaded and double click on it to
start the install.
Mine was called "ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe," but, depending on how long ago
I wrote this, yours could differ a little.
(The name was indicated by the green arrow... I told you to make a mental
note; remember?)
Step 2: Install the Program
Running the program will produce this little window. It's the first in a long long series of windows that serve little purpose other than to ask you a lot of repetitious questions. I'll try to take most of the pain out of this. For the most part, just click "Next >"
Anyway, you should now be looking at the first of many setup
screens.
Click "Next >"
The next screen is another of those blab blab bla License agreements.
As before, select "I accept" (Red Arrow), and then click "Next >"
(Green Arrow)
This screen wants to know where to install the program.
Don't change anything... just click "Next >"
Next, it wants to know where in your start menu to put the new
shortcut.
Once again, don't change anything.
(It defaults to Start -> All Programs -> Teamspeak 2 RC2)
Just click "Next >"
Next, put a checkmark in the box for "Create a desktop icon," and then click "Next >"
Next is just an informational screen... nothing to see here, keep
moving.
"Next >"
At last, we are installing.
You should see the green bar fill up as it installs.
This shouldn't take very long (maybe a few seconds).
You may or may not get a pop-up window like this one.
If you do, simply click "Next >"
Do you see a pattern forming? If not, skip the next two screens...
If you got the pop-up above, this is step two of that.
Just click "Next >"
This is the end screen for the pop-up mentioned above.
Click "Finish"
If you did not get the pop-up window mentioned above this is
the next screen you should have seen.
Yet another informational screen.
And as before, click "Next >"
Place a check in the box next to "Launch Teamspeak" (Green Arrow), then click "Finish"
After a few seconds of whirring and crunching, you should see
a window like this one.
If so, congratulations you have successfully installed TeamSpeak!
Step 3: Configure the Program
Now to configure it to connect to Auxilia's Server.
Click "Connection" menu in the upper, left corner.
On the drop down menu, click "Connect"
On the next screen we don't have any servers to connect to, so we
need to create one.
RIGHT click on "Servers" then Left click on "Add Server"
Now we need to give our new server a name.
I'm using "Auxilia" of course.
Once you have chosen a name, press ENTER
As soon as you gave the new connection a name a bunch of options
popped up on the right of the window.
The first thing we do is click to select "Anonymous"
As soon as you do that, the box for Login Name disappears.
This is good.
Slightly above the anonymous you will see places for Server
Address and Nickname.
The server address is ts.auxilia-guild.com and you
put the name of your WoW character in for Nickname.
At the bottom of the window is the "Connect" button.
If you have done everything right you may now connect!
Clicking the "Connect" button should have produced this window.
In the left pane is an explorer view of all the chat rooms and who
is in them.
You can see that I have entered the "Entry Room" by default.
To change rooms, double click on the room you want to change to.
Well that's it. You should now be connected to our TS server. Have fun and see you in game!!
